The liners are buttoned into the field coat and trousers for extra warmth, and also can be worn as separate buttoned front liners (serve as an insulating layer for the ECWCS).

Materials Used

The coat and trouser liners are quilted and made of polyester batting covered with 3 plies of ripstop nylon cloth, conforming to type IV, class 1, style a of MIL-B-41826.

Description of Item

The coat liner has open underarms, and buttonhole tabs for attachment to the coat.

The trouser liner has buttoned side openings for easy removal.

The coat and trouser liners have been redesigned to make these items capable of being worn independently of their respective outer garment. Buttons and buttonholes have been added to the coat front and the outseams of the trousers.
